What problem does NAxtract solve?

Traditional lab automation relies on robotic liquid handlers. They’re expensive, delicate instruments. NAxtract uses robust microfluidics to automate sample prep specifically for low- to medium-throughput applications. It’s the simplest, most robust sample prep platform ever designed.

I have a sample prep kit that could benefit from automation. What capabilities does Redbud have to port my kit to NAxtract?

Redbud Labs developed NAxtract entirely in house. We have an experienced team of assay and system engineers, with BSL-2 wet labs, rapid prototyping, and software development.



What is the Redbud Partnership Program?

NAxtract is a new automation platform with countless potential applications. We’re partnering with firms that have sample prep kits that could benefit from automation, and firms that offer systems for downstream sample processing and analysis that pair well with our nucleic acid extraction solution.

How is NAxtract manufactured?

NAxtract is manufactured by world-class instrument and consumables CMOs. Redbud Labs’ facilities in Research Triangle Park, NC are certified ISO 9001 for manufacturing of STR™BeadPak chips in NAxtract cartridges.



What kind of kits work on the NAxtract platform?

NAxtract is built with STR™BeadPak, a powerful new chip that maximizes the performance of magnetic bead reactions in microfluidic cartridges. BeadPak works with virtually any magnetic bead, and with a wide range of analytes, from nucleic acids to proteins.


